The Turkish National Committee for Roads (YTMK) was established in accordance with the Higher Education Council (YÖK) Law, through a collaboration between the General Directorate of Highways (KGM), Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), and Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ). The Turkish National Committee for Roads aims to support road construction projects in Turkey and to better represent our country on international platforms regarding road and road transportation issues.

In the field of Roads and Road Transportation, the YTMK has deemed it appropriate to award prizes annually to one doctoral dissertation, one master's dissertation, and three conference papers or articles, subject to the conditions specified in the "YTMK Award Regulations," and has been implementing this decision since 1998.

YTMK 2026 Awards:

- 50,000.00 TL and Award Certificate for a doctoral thesis,

- 30,000.00 TL and Award Certificate for a master's thesis,

- 15,000.00 TL and Award Certificate for each of three articles or presentations.

Universities or institutions may nominate candidates for the awards, or applications can be submitted individually. The CD/USB and original copies of nominated theses or papers/articles, along with a comprehensive abstract (400-500 words), a permission form, and the application form (available on the YTMK website), must be sent no later than September 4, 2026, to the following address: Turkish National Committee of Roads, General Directorate of Highways, Devlet Mah. İnönü Bulvarı. No:14 A blok kat:12 06420 Çankaya / ANKARA. If the submitted work is in a foreign language, its Turkish title and a comprehensive Turkish abstract must also be included.
